Helping The King’s School to modernise their IT infrastructure

As part of a project to modernise the IT infrastructure, The King’s School in Gloucester has a signed a contract with Advatek for the supply and installation of a new Fortinet Wi-Fi 6 wireless network with Fortigate firewalls for additional security and FortiAnalyzer for monitoring, analytics and reporting.

“We looked at various systems to provide the latest WiFi-6 technology and improve delivery for cloud-based applications for teaching and learning within the classroom. We are excited to work with Advatek, based on their understanding of our need to expand and simplify parts of our infrastructure without compromise on security,” Brett Ranford, Network Manager, The King’s School.

“The solution we proposed to The King’s School, will give them a solid base to build their future network and support the operations of the school. We are delighted to be working together,’ says Simon Koscinski, MD of Advatek

Fortinet Fortigate firewalls are best-in-class protection against internal and external security threats, whilst FortiAP provide security-driven Wi-Fi 6 wireless networking across branch or campus environments.

Advatek delivered the solution over the summer in time for the new school year in September.
